At the 96th Academy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night, some of the biggest personalities in Hollywood will receive honors.

Here’s what you should know in advance of the highly anticipated awards ceremony.

The Oscars are held when and where?
The Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood will host the 96th Academy Awards on March 10.

ABC will broadcast the program live at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. This window of time is one hour earlier than in the past.

When is the red carpet show on ABC?
Watch live interviews on the red carpet with some of the nominees and presenters for the Oscars tonight by tuning into ABC’s official pre-show, “Countdown to Oscars: On the Red Carpet Live!”

From 1-4 p.m. ET on ABC News Live, the pre-show featuring “ABC News Live Prime” anchor Linsey Davis and “Good Morning America” weekend co-anchor Whit Johnson will be available for streaming.

Pre-show commentary from “GMA3: What You Need to Know” co-anchors Eva Pilgrim and DeMarco Morgan, ABC News correspondent Chris Connelly, ABC News contributors Mike Muse and Kelley Carter, Variety senior awards editor Clayton Davis, and celebrity stylist Joe Zee will help you stay up to date on everything you need to know before the Oscars.

Following that, “The Oscars Red Carpet Show,” a 30-minute pre-show hosted by Vanessa Hudgens and Julianne Hough, will air on ABC at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Who has been nominated for an Oscar in 2024?

With 13 nominations overall, Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” is the most nominated movie of the year. “Poor Things” by Yorgos Lanthimos is nominated for eleven, and “Killers of the Flower Moon” by Martin Scorsese is up for ten.

Bradley Cooper’s “Maestro” gets seven nominations, while Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” is nominated for eight.

“American Fiction,” “Anatomy of a Fall,” “Barbie,” “The Holdovers,” “Killers of the Flower Moon,” “Maestro,” “Oppenheimer,” “Past Lives,” “Poor Things,” and “The Zone of Interest” are among the movies vying for the coveted best picture Oscar. This year, who is hosting?
Jimmy Kimmel will host the Oscars once more in 2024, which will be his fourth time doing so.

Who is presenting this year?

During the concert, stars including Bad Bunny, Zendaya, Al Pacino, Mahershala Ali, Emily Blunt, Ryan Gosling, Jennifer Lawrence, Dwayne Johnson, and more will present on stage.

Who is doing the show this year?
During the show, all five of the songs that have been nominated for best original song will be played.

Alongside Mark Ronson, Ryan Gosling will perform “I’m Just Ken” from “Barbie.” Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell will perform “What Was I Made For?”, another huge song from the popular movie.

Jon Batiste will play “It Never Went Away” from “American Symphony,” Becky G will perform “The Fire Inside” from “Flamin’ Hot,” and Scott George and the Osage Singers will perform “Wahzhazhe (A Song For My People)” from “Killers of the Flower Moon.”
