Baseball fans and fans of K-pop rejoice! Two of South Korea’s biggest girl groups, (G)I-DLE and aespa, are getting ready to play at the opening games of the 2024 MLB World Tour: Seoul Series. The famous Gocheok Sky Dome is about to host an incredible event with EXO’s Baekhyun performing a breathtaking version of national anthems. Fans are looking forward to the combination of K-pop talent and baseball excitement on March 20 and 21, as excitement for this historic occasion grows.

The announcement that (G)I-DLE and aespa, two of South Korea’s most exciting music groups, are scheduled to amaze audiences at the opening games of the 2024 MLB World Tour: Seoul Series, broke on March 13th, thrilling fans of both K-pop and baseball. These formidable girl groups, who are slated to perform on March 20 and 21, respectively, promise to provide even more intensity to the match between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres. In addition to the already impressive lineup, it was already announced that EXO’s Baekhyun will do a solo, breathtaking performance of the Star-Spangled Banner and the Korean national anthem on March 21.

The 2024 MLB World Tour: Seoul Series will make its historic debut in South Korea this year on March 20 and 21 at the famed Gocheok Sky Dome. Fans are excitedly anticipating a show that blends the exhilaration of baseball with the unmatched skill of K-pop’s biggest artists.

In 2018, the South Korean female group (G)I-DLE was founded under Cube Entertainment. Their EP “I Am” featured the well-known song “Latata.” Miyeon, Minnie, Soojin, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua were the original members of the group until Soojin left in 2021. They won the Melon Music Awards’ Best New Female category in 2018 and were a nominee for the MTV Europe Music Awards‘ Best Korean Act. They have also made appearances on reality TV shows like the 2019 Chuseok Special of the Idol Star Athletics Championships and Queendom (2019).

South Korean K-Pop girl group aespa was founded by SM Entertainment. The four people in the group are Ningning, Giselle, Winter, and Karina. On November 17, 2020, their breakthrough single “Black Mamba” catapulted them into stardom. They have been heavily involved in a variety of promotional activities since then, most notably making appearances on shows like “2020 SBS Gayo Daejeon in Daegu“.
