It’s Bryson Tiller again. The Grammy-nominated musician revealed on Tiller Tuesday, March 19, that RCA Records would release his fourth album of the same name on April 5.
After releasing his critically acclaimed debut album Trapsoul on the fifth anniversary of its release, Bryson Tiller’s last studio album, Anniversary, came out four years ago. Anniversary peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and No. 4 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.
Tiller released “Calypso,” the album’s first official single, and unveiled the sci-fi-inspired album artwork in honor of today’s announcement.
“Whatever She Wants,” the last song he released as part of his SoundCloud-only Slum Tiller mixtape series that he published on “Tiller Tuesdays,” was followed by “Calypso” by a month. Due to its widespread popularity, the “Don’t” hitmaker officially released the song on DSPs in February. Since then, “Whatever She Wants” has established itself as a commercial hit, peaking at No. 19 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 8 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs this week (dated March 24). Bryson Tiller also achieved his first top 10 on the Hot Rap Songs list with “Whatever She Wants,” which debuted at No. 8 earlier this month and has now risen to No. 5.
Tiller announced today that he will be returning to the road for a 31-date tour of North America to coincide with the release of his album. The Bryson Tiller Tour, which is produced by Live Nation, will kick off on May 11 at Portland’s Alaska Airlines Theater of the Clouds and travel to a number of big cities before concluding at the Washington State Fair in Puyallup, Washington, including Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, and more.
On March 20, tickets will go on sale beginning with a variety of pre-sales. Prior to the general onsale, which begins on Friday, March 22 at 10 a.m. local time on ticketmaster.com, there will be additional pre-sales throughout the week.
